How To: Wear a Military Coat

Spotted at the Frieze Art Fair in London, this beautiful art aficionado was spotted in a true-to-form military coat.Might I say, this is a hard thing to pull of. But I think she does quite a nice job. I think since there are so many very hard details about the coat, I'd use softer elements with it. The sheer tights are a nice touch, as are the patent brogues which are sweet but not too feminine. I'd even go for a softer lip to work in more femininity into the look for even greater contrast but I think the whole thing is really well done. I think you could even pair this jacket with a nice waist belt for a cinched look and figure-flattery.
